Welcome back and Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a relaxing winter break.
In Language Arts, we will be
focusing our time finishing off reading our class novel “We are all made of
Molecules” and working on reading comprehension associated with that text. Each
student should have started reading a novel at the beginning of January in
preparation for our project, A Book in a Box. In addition, we will be
continuing to work on drama; specifically “tableaus”, short plays and skits. We
will also be continuing to work on our vocabulary through our Wordly Wise
reader, as well as small grammar units.
In Geography, we will be examining
the concepts of Climate, Vegetation, and patterns of Rivers and Oceans.
A reminder that
report cards will be sent home on Friday February 8th. I hope everyone had
a relaxing and restful holiday season.
